About
WINGWING is an international team of civil aviation and information technology specialists with years of experience inside airlines and on industry IT projects.
Industry experience
Our experience comes from the operational work of an airline: training and assessment of flight crew, crew planning and duty-time limits, flight safety, analysis of operational data, and the documents and processes of the flight operations department.
Today we build systems for the same processes we used to work with from the operator’s side, where we answered for their results.
Hence our requirement for primary sources. Where a system uses a regulatory norm, the document, its edition and the clause are recorded. Where a value has no confirmation in a primary source, it is marked as a hypothesis and can be changed without touching the code.
What we do
We build specialised systems for flight operations, training, flight safety and working with flight crew. In the same areas we run expert and analytical projects.
Analysis of a roster, of training data, of bodies of occurrences or of the IT landscape can stand as work in its own right. The result is a report, a methodology, recommendations or requirements for a system. Buying a WINGWING product is not required for any of it.
How we work
Work begins with functional requirements. Every requirement receives an identifier and an acceptance check. A requirement that cannot be verified cannot be objectively counted as met.
Development runs through quality gates on every build. The description of the system is drawn from the behaviour actually implemented.
A data register is kept separately: which information has to arrive from the airline in place of the demonstration set, in what format and at what cadence.
On completion two lists are recorded: what has been implemented and how it was verified; and what has deliberately been left out, with the reason in each case.
